The Residential Waste Collection Improvement Project was successfully launched in September 2021 across Barbados. This project has seen the delivery of 100,000 65-gallon Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) enabled roll-out carts (green) for general waste and 100,000 18-gallon recycling bins (blue) for households across Barbados. Distribution to households was completed in May 2022.

The Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) is championing the RWCIP in partnership with Prosource Limited.
